How to save a TikTok without the watermark

Open the video in TikTok, tap the share arrow, choose Copy link, and paste it in the box above. The short vm.tiktok.com link the share sheet gives you works as it is, and so does a full URL copied from a browser. If a short link ever comes back unreadable, open it in TikTok and copy the full one.

Saving from inside TikTok itself always stamps the bouncing logo and the creator’s username across the video. The clean encode exists on TikTok’s own servers; this finds it and hands your browser the address.

What HD actually means here

Every downloader page in this category shouts HD, and almost none of them tell you what they are comparing. TikTok stores several encodes of the same video, and the one labelled HD is not always the larger file. On the first video we tested, the HD encode was 2.0 MB against 2.9 MB for the standard one.

So this tool shows the file size next to each option and lets you decide. For a recent, well-shot video the HD file is normally the one you want. For an older upload, compare the numbers. What nobody can offer is a version better than what TikTok published: the creator’s original master was never public, and any site advertising 4K is upscaling pixels that do not exist.

Nothing is uploaded, because nothing needs to be

Most free downloaders pull the file onto their own servers and pass it to you. That gives them a copy of whatever you downloaded and costs them bandwidth on every request, which is usually why those pages are buried in adverts.

We do not do that. Your browser fetches the file from TikTok’s CDN directly, so there is no copy on our side and no upload from yours. The one visible consequence is that a browser sometimes opens the video in a new tab rather than saving it, because the file belongs to another site. Right-click and choose Save video as when that happens.

What this will not do

It will not touch private accounts. Their videos are not readable without being an approved follower, so there is nothing for any tool to fetch, and a site offering to do it anyway is asking for your password so it can try logging in as you. Never give a downloader your TikTok login.

Photo-mode posts and slideshows are not supported yet either, because TikTok stores those as separate images rather than one video file.

Removing a watermark is not the same as owning the video

Worth saying plainly, since this is the page people land on when they want a clean file. Saving a public video to watch offline, to keep a copy of something you made, or to reshare with credit is ordinary use. Stripping the username off someone else’s clip and posting it as your own is not, and the tool that removed the logo does not change that.

That is also why the watermarked version stays on the list rather than being hidden. If you are resharing, it is the one that carries the creator’s name.

Common reason to be here, and worth a warning: what TikTok serves is already compressed for TikTok, so recutting that file for Reels or Shorts adds a second generation of compression. If you still have the original export, edit from that and keep the download for reference.
