How to save a reel
Open the reel, tap the three dots, choose Copy link, paste it above. A link copied from a browser works the same way. What comes back is the MP4 Instagram is already serving.
No watermark, and no one adds one
TikTok stamps a logo and username onto anything saved from inside the app, which is why watermark removal is the whole conversation over there. Instagram does not do that, so a reel comes down clean without anything being stripped.
The exception is a watermark the creator burned into the video themselves, often a TikTok logo on a reel that was posted to both. That is part of the picture rather than an overlay, so no tool can remove it.
If you are saving reels to repost
Worth knowing before you build a workflow on it: what Instagram serves is already compressed for Instagram. Re-uploading that file to TikTok or YouTube adds a second round of compression, and it shows on anything with fast motion or fine detail. If the reel is yours, keep the original export and post that instead.
The audio travels with the file too, which matters more than people expect. A commercial track that was licensed for use inside Instagram is not automatically licensed on another platform, and that is the part that gets reposts muted or taken down.
What this will not do
Private accounts publish nothing publicly, so there is nothing to fetch. Stories are visible only to logged-in accounts, so a story tool means running somebody’s session and we will not do that. Carousels expose their first image and no more, so for photo posts this returns one picture rather than the set.

The download runs from Instagram’s servers to your browser directly, so we never hold a copy and pay no bandwidth. Verified rather than claimed: the address our server returns downloads on an unrelated machine with no session.
